After an intensive preparation period, the 17th International Flock Symposium, the global meeting of the flocking industry, has already become a matter of the past. What remains after our return home are numerous impressions, an increased wealth of experience and the attempt of a first review. As is widely known, the developments on the international political scene had a major impact on the event from the very beginning. And we kept asking ourselves: "What are we going to do if the war breaks out?" The fact that not only the organizer was preoccupied with this subject became apparent with the receipt of the registrations. The participants hesitated for quite a while, voiced concerns, and verbal registrations remained unconfirmed.
