Repsol in talks to hike Libyan oil output

Dubai—Libya’s National Oil Corp. met with Spain’s Repsol to discuss ways to increase production from the key Sharara oil field, NOC said Tuesday, as a recent recovery in Libyan output continues to dent OPEC’s effects to rebalance the oil market. The discussions between NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla and Repsol’s regional CEO Thomas Garcia came as Libyan output averaged around 788,000 b/d.
