Imagica's Color Management Solves Digital Matching Problem

Imagica, a Tokyo-based post-production company, has developed a color manage-ment system for filmmakers that can pre-cisely reproduce the characteristics of original camera negatives on recording negatives. The system, Kirion, ensures continuity of appearance even in cases where the digitally processed negative is inserted between sequences of original camera negatives.The Kirion system has been applied to dozens of feature films and has successfully solved the matching problem of digital negatives. Like Imagica's Galette system, the Kirion system supports hybrid filmmaking with digital and traditional camera negatives.
