On Mercury (II) Derivatives of Antipyrine

According to the reaction conditions antipyrine, AH, reacted with inorganic mercury salts yieldingO-adducts, salts or evenC-mercurated compounds, HgX2. AH (X = Cl, Br), A2H3 HgX3(X = Cl, Br, 1), or AHgCl. H2O, respectively, which were characterized through analytical, spectroscopic (infrared and proton nmr), and conductivity data.
