Reliability verification tests were conducted on a fully automatic welding system which is provided with the two functions of welding adaptive control and automatic weld quality confirmation, in addition to the conventional automatic weldingmachine, and the reliability of the system was confirmed. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained:(1) The reliability of the system and the soundness of the weld quality obtained by this system have been successfully confirmed.(2) It has also been confirmed that the fully automatic welding system having the above functions can perform high quality welds without the intervention of skilled welders.
