The following montane, subalpine, and alpine species not previously reported from the Queen Charlotte Islands are documented:Astragalus robbinsii, Taraxacum ceratophorum, Pyrola asarifolia, Salix stolonifera, Senecio lugens, Selaginella densa, andCystopteris montana. Many plants disjunctly distributed and endemic in the Queen Charlotte Islands are found more frequently on limestones than on other rocks. Causes for this concentration on limestones are suggested and related to similar phenomena in Europe.
