It includes one section of the genusGerbera, sect.Isanthuswith 6 species:G. maxima, G. raphanifolia, G. delavayi, G. henryi, G. nivea, andG. gossypina, the genusLeibnitziawith 4 species,L. anandria, L. knorringiana, L. nepalensis, andL. ruficoma, and the genusUechtrirziawith 3 species,U. kokanica, U. armena, andU. lacei. The species are mainly distributed in the Himalaya Region and W. China (Yunnan), but some occur in S. USSR, andL. anandriais widespread;Leibnitziaprobably also occurs in Central America with 2 endemic species.
