Fracture toughness of dense concrete

摘要

The paper concerns the investigation on fracture toughness(according to II-nd model of fracture-shear) of two kinds of denseconcrete with water-cement ratio varying from 0.6 to 0.9.Relationship between the stress intensity factor K_IIC as well aswork of fracture J_IIC and water-cement ratio W/C were determined.Investigations of fracture if specimens using computer image analyserQuantimet 720 were also carried out. The results for dense concretewere compared with the results obtained for ordinary concrete.
