A little more than three years ago, The Cadmus Group, Inc. (Watertown, Mass.; www.cadmusgroup.com) effected a change in its ownership structure similar to the changes that other environmental consulting engineering firms were in the process of undertaking, and largely for the same reasons: The company became an employee-owned firm, through a 51 employee stock ownership program (ESOP), essentially to attain the next level of engagement among its professional staff.
