Our objective is to analyze the error of 3-D ultrasound system using numerical simulation. The accuracy of the system had been measured by experimental method. It is difficult to find out the bottleneck of the system error from the measured accuracy and the complex system has too many error factors to make experiments about all the factors. In this paper, we made experiments using Monte Cairo simulation to analyze the effects of the error factors on the overall accuracy of the system, which is currently under development that 3-D ultrasound system under the endoscopy. As a result, the simulation showed the effects of the error factors quantitatively, which were useful for system design.
