Synthesis of 1,4,5,6,7,7-Hexachlorobicyclo 2.2.1 hepta-2,5-dienylmethyl Haloacetates

Hexachlorobicyclo2.2. 1hepta-2,5-dienyknethyl haloacetates were prepared by 4+2-cycloaddition of hexachlorocyclopentadiene to the corresponding propargyl haloacetates.Compounds of the bicyclo2.2.1heptene series exhibit diverse useful properties. Rigid framework structures of these compounds with fixed substituents are promising models for studying structure-property relationships1.
