Effect of diazonium salts on some physical properties, viz.Tensile, strength tenacity, elongation, moisture regain, shrinkage,loss in weight etc of jute fibre have been studied. It is observedthat the tensile strength, tenacity, per cent elongation and moistureregain properties of the treated(modified)fibre decreases incomparison with the raw fibre(control). The nature of the shadesdeveloped on jute fibre is also reported.
