摘要

An enhancement of the room temperature magnetoresi stance DeltaR/R-0 is induced by the substitution of Cr for Mn with appropriate content x in manganites La0.67Sr0.33Mn1 -xCrxO3. A peak of the room temperature magnetoresistance DeltaR/R-0 occurs at x approximate to 0.15. Such enhancement may be correlated with shifts of Curie temperature and metal-insulator transition temperature to near room temperature through the Cr substitution. The decreasing of DeltaR/R-0 for larger x may be correlated with the corresponding lower metal-insulator transition temperature far from room temperature. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd.
