Developing flame retarded plastics: New guidance wanted

AbstractThe development of plastics with improved flame retardant properties is going through a phase of stagnation. Fire test concepts are following a new direction and the serial tests currently used do not adequately tie up with the development objective of reducing fire risks. In the short term no improvement in this situation is expected.
