This paper focuses on the radio resource management in low earthorbit-mobile satellite systems(LEO- MSSs)based on a time divisionmultiple access(TDMA)air interface. A novel demand-assignment mediumAccess control(MAC)protocol, named DRAMA+(dynamic resource assignmentmultiple access-enhanced Version), is proposed, where voice and Webtraffic sources obtain transmission slots through requests sent Bymeans of a random access phase. The round-trip propagationdelay(RTD)of LEO-MSSs prevents an Immediate feedback for eachtransmission attempt. All the transmission requests concern of theDRAMA+ scheme Is to realize an efficient access phase.
