Radiation‐induced polymerization. I. A pyrotechnic binder

AbstractIn the past, binder systems had to be limited to systems where the catalytically initiated polymerization exotherm was low. With radiation‐initiated polymerization, this is not a problem, and the number of monomers which can now be investigated is unlimited. Based upon the styrene–benzoyl peroxide system, addition of peroxide sensitizers significantly decrease the radiation dose required for 100 convers
