Sharp Propels Sales Drive in Vietnam

Sharp Corp. has established the Sharp Electronics (Vietnam) Company Limited (SVN) as its sales company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to expand further the company's home electric appliances and information equipment businesses in the country. The operations of SVN started in July.Previously, Sharp does its sales businesses in the Vietnamese market through Mitsui Co., Ltd. However, in January 2009, Vietnam has opened its doors to foreign investors and enacted a new policy that paved the way for the liberalization of the market.
