Crude aqueous spore extracts of the fungusSporidesmium bakeri, Syd, (Syn.Pithomyces chartarum(Berk. amp; Curt.) M. B. Ellis) have been studied by electrophoresis and gel diffusion methods. The toxicity of such material for tissue culture cells has been confirmed and a modified assay procedure developed.
