Health geography: a research area in decline? A review of the Italian literature between 2005- 2014. - The Geography of Health is commonly divided into two areas of research: the Medical Geography, which investigates the relation between the environment, broadly understood, and the onset and the diffusion of diseases, and the Health Geography, which analyzes the relation between the territorial systems of care and the demand for health. This study offers a review of the health geography studies between 2005-2014 demonstrating that the Health Geography is in an area of research still unexplored in Italy. Nevertheless it represents an interesting scenario for test the dynamic role of the geography and the geographers in policy and planning definition.
