Indian Nalco’s aluminium output rises

Indian state-controlled metals and mining company National Aluminium (Nalco) increased aluminium production by 4pc year-on-year to 387,000t in the financial year ending 31 March. Nalco reported operating at 100pc capacity utilization to produce 6.85mn t of bauxite in the 2016-17 financial year, up by 7.7pc from a year earlier. Alumina output rose by 7.6pc year on year to 2.1mn t.
