User interface for classifying and browsing images based on cluster analysis

摘要

Browsing and Retrieving images from image databases efficiently without loss of the hits have been important research issues. Based on cluster analysis, we propose interactive user interface for classifying images in databases according to similarities given by users and for displaying the images by a tree structure. The tree structure which is used in the interface use representative images of clusters of images to show overall characters of images and similarities of clusters. We also evaluated the interlace by using it for retrieval of images in an image database of rose.
