Epoxidized linseed oil‐free fatty acids modified with substituted anilines as antioxidants and antirads for SBR vulcanizates

AbstractEpoxidized linseed oil‐free fatty acids were reacted with aniline and three isomers of toluidine, anisidine, and chloroaniline in such a manner that the carboxylic groups remained free. The prepared adducts were evaluated as antioxidants and antirads for styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) vulcanizates. It was found that 2 phr of orthotoluidine, paraanisidine, orthochloroaniline, and aniline adducts were the best antioxidants and/or antirads. © 1993 John WileySons, I
