The magnetic properties of GdCo4-x,FexB have been investigated using Fe-57 Mossbauer spectroscopy at room temperature. Those compounds have the hexagonal CeCO4B type of structure and are ordered ferrimagnetically. In GdCo1.4Fe2.6 B, the Fe-57 hyperfine fields are 224 and 180 kOe at the 2c and 6i sites, respectively, whose corresponding Fe moments are 1.50 and 1.20 mu(B), respectively. The increase in the Fe magnetic moment for 1 <= x <= 2.6 in GdCo4-xFexB are 0.033 and 0.079 mu(B) at the 2c and 6i sites, respectively. The weighted average values of the isomer shift in GdCo4-xFexB increase for 1 <= x <= 2.6 with increasing Fe content. The result of quadrupole splitting shows the difference of the contribution of magnetic anisotropy of the Fe atoms at the 2c and 6i sites in GdCo4-xFexB.
