From surface inspection to process optimisation

For the third year in succession, in October 2004 over 300 quality assurance specialists from the steel, nonferrous and paper industries from 20 countries (about 50 of them from aluminium plants) met at the "Surface Inspection Summit" in Aachen, an event that has already become a tradition. The theme of this year's event, "From data to decisions", focused in 40 lectures and seminars on the outstanding value-adding potential of surface quality data, which can be provided in large amounts by surface inspection systems that have by now developed to a high level of technical maturity.
