Tin price stagnant on lack of interest

It has been an uneventful couple of months for the tin price. Since late-August, LME tin has traded very narrowly around the US $19,000 level between $18,655 and $19,155. Tin has not been subject to the same speculation as other LME base metals, partially because the market has lacked a clear narrative and direction in recent months, but also because the LME tin contract is small and often overlooked by speculators and funds compared to the other LME base metals.
