AbstractThe widespread use of specific virus inactivation techniques such as solvent/detergent, pasteurisation and severe dry‐heat treatment, has greatly increased the safety of coagulation factor concentrates 1. All these techniques are highly effective against known blood‐borne enveloped viruses such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.
