Break arcs are generated in the DC48V and 12A resistive circuit. Composition distribution on the anode contact surfaces eroded by break arcs is analyzed by EPMA. Then the contacts are heated at 120, 180, 240, and 300 degree Celsius and the composition distribution of them is analyzed again. The following results are obtained. For the contact heated at 120 degree Celsius, the detected levels of oxygen on the contact surface decrease slightly. In the regions where the break arc is contacted, the detected levels of oxygen remain high after heated at 300 degree Celsius.
