It is difficult to centrally administer a system constituted of many personal computers and workstations connected via the Internet. In order to balance the loads caused by various conventional application programs on such a system, we have to solve some problems that do not occur within local systems. Among the problems are vast space to search a suitable node, remote execution beyond the firewall, and dynamic reconstruction of the node network. We propose a model for a load-balancing system comprising unspecified and globally distributed computers. We also describe prototypical implementation of remote execution, the function of which is fundamental to our system model.
