Nonstationary four-wave mixing in resonant media under conditions of efficient parametric energy transfer

It is shown theoretically that when the radiation frequency is detuned from the center of the absorption contour, a regime in which the intensity of the interacting waves undergoes self-pulsations at a constant input intensity is observed in addition to the stationary regimes.
