Studies on Hyposideraemia and Altered Iron Storage in the Rat following Thermal Injury

Summary.Hyposideraemia with concomitant accumulation of non‐haem iron in the liver and spleen was found following thermal injury by scalding in the rat. It is supposed that the changes may be due to failure to reutilize iron for haemoglobin synthesi
