摘要

MAG-3 combines the advantages of tubular secretion with Tc-99m labeling and offers decreased radiation exposure compared to l-131 orthoiodohippurate, improved anatomic imaging, and lower cost. Postoperative renal scintigraphy is performed to document graft perfusion and function and to identify urinary obstruction or leakage. Lateral views may help discriminate a fluid collection from biliary and bowel activity. On delayed images, Tc-99m MAG3 and by-products appear in the bowel because of biliary excretion. In this example, prompt identification of the graft, bladder, and urinoma was facilitated by imaging in the lateral position.
