In this paper, the methods of enhancing the bandwidth of the tabular loop antenna and the application to the antenna for UHF digital TV system are proposed. Both impedance and radiation characteristics of the bandwidth enhancement loop antenna are studied. Experimental result indicate that the bandwidth for a VSWR = 2 criterion is evaluated to be approximately 50 at operating frequencies around 600 MHz. In addition, it is shown the behavior of this antenna gain is to stabilize (7.6 to 8.2 dBi) within the range of the operation frequency (470 to 770 MHz).
