An unusual case is presented in which a 58-year-old man with a known history of chronic left ureteropelvic junction obstruction, for which surgery was done in the remote past, was investigated in follow-up. A Foley catheter was in place. A diuretic renogram revealed a suboptimal response to furosemide. At the end of the study, it was noted that the Foley catheter drainage bag was full and on emptying it and reimaging, the ldquo;obstructedrdquo; pattern promptly disappeared. This would appear to be a case of an acute iatrogenic obstruction with subsequent acute relief of the obstruction.
