One of the more agreeable aspects of earning one's living in the construction industry is working with brilliant craftsmen. However, as part of being a craftsman is being an artist, it can also be one of the most frustrating. The combination of artistic muse and creative temperament does not always go hand-in-hand with the industry's demands for accurate pricing and delivery dates. On the one hand, I feel it is my duty to see that these talented folk are kept busy, and, on the other, to see that they actually get paid a realistic price for their skills.
