EVERYONE has their opinion about economics and politics, but with the market you are either right or wrong. You either make money or you lose it. When the stock market crashes, there is no argument. Markets have a huge mass that, like gravity, can't be reasoned with. You can fight markets but you can't conquer them. Trotsky earned an ice pick in the head from Stalin for insisting you could jump from agriculture to communism in one go. Marx maintained you had to go through some kind of capitalistic industrial period to get to Utopia. You can imagine that this idea is rather uncomfortable for agricultural countries going through communist revolution, when in prospect there has to be a capitalist industrialisation period to come.
