CRITICAL FACTORS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF MEDICAL CARE INSTITUTIONS

Medical waste consists of complicated and various varieties. The management of special medical waste is gradually emphasised in past few years. Some regulations and systems are continuously reviewed and built. Nevertheless, warnings of domestic medical waste treatment would affect the normal operation and image of hospitals and even pollute the environment. Aiming at employees of medical care institutions in Shanghai, total 320 copies of questionnaire are distributed as the research samples, where 247 valid copies are retrieved, with a retrieval rate of 77. The research results are summarised as follows: (1) Among the evaluation dimensions, human resource management is mostly emphasised in the environmental protection management system of medical care institutions; (2) Among 17 indicators, top five indicators contain establishment of exclusive personnel, execution of environmental protection criteria, monitoring of equipment, environmental ticket, and organisation human resource. According to the results to propose suggestions, it is expected to build effective indicators of environmental protection management of medical care institutions for the reference of hospitals.
