Total, Inpex Sell Down Angola Blocks

TotalEnergies and Japan’s Inpex have signed an agreement to sell some mature nonoperated assets in Angola, Total announced on Monday. Under the agreement, which has yet to be ratiOed, the duo will divest a combined 20 stake in Angola’s Block 14, and a 10 stake in Block 14k to local Orm Somoil. Total said the sale was part of its longer-term strategy to high-grade its global oil portfolio, and focus on low-cost assets with low- carbon intensity.
