The low-carbon hydrogen industry in the US will need at least $85 billion and as much as $215 billion in investment to meet projected demand of 10 million tons per year by 2030, according to a recent report from the US Department of Energy (DOE). About half of that projected investment will be needed for midstream and end-use infrastructure, with another third going toward new low-carbon hydrogen production.
