摘要

Abstract In this work, the relationship between electrical and optical conductivity is discussed based on Shankar’s assumptions in both SI and CGS systems of units. A new strategy is developed to correlate the electrical and optical conductivity of different materials. The newly derived equation/model is dimensionally correct in both SI and CGS systems of units. The model derived in this work resolves the arguments between authors about the correlation between electrical and optical conductivity.
