BOMBARDIER GLOBAL Express D-AFAL (c/n 9016) has been sold by the FAI Aviation Group of Germany to a new owner in the United States as N822VP. The aircraft will be managed on behalf of its owner by Planet 9 of Van Nuys in California. It was extensively refurbished by FAI Technik under Project Pearl, receiving a new cabin for 12 passengers, helping the company win the 'Innovation in Engineering Category' at the 2021 Middle East Aviation Awards. After re-entering service with FAI in 2020, the aircraft was operated for 800 hours on charter operations.
