The October 2021 import total, at 46,209 tons, was right on the license number from last month. November licenses are down a bit to 41,928 tons. The December forecast, with 9 of 21 days included, is down further to 34,286 tons which is nearly right on the YTD average. The top import item for October 2021 was welded, carbon, square or rect., with wall over 0.156” at 38,819 tons. The price was down $150/ton for the month reversing an over $500/ton price runup.
