While some of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's works are readily identified by their singularity (watercolors, textile prints, botanic illustrations for example), much of his creative output derived from collaboration — some instances conventional and others more unorthodox in their form of exchange and impact. These are important to consider as they remind us of the range of ways architecture design is influenced and the behaviors architects and designers develop to support their creative practice, which was often underplayed or seen as incidental.
