? 2022 Elsevier LtdGreen building (GB) projects reduce greenhouse gas emissions and resource consumption while improving human well-being. However, prior research on the risk networks of GB projects is very limited, and no researchers have concentrated on analyzing the relationship between risk occurrence networks (RONs) and risk harm networks (RHNs) for GB projects from the perspectives of both the whole life cycle and multiple respondents. The purpose of this paper is to provide an analytic framework that objectively mines the RONs and RHNs of GB projects to test the significance of the relationship between the two types of networks. Through a systematic literature review, we identified 51 risk factors relevant to the four stages of GB projects and then used social network analysis (SNA) to obtain the RONs and RHNs based on survey data from China. The point-relation test revealed that significant relationships exist between the respondents' age and the two types of networks; however, there is no correlation between GB project experience and the two types of networks. Importantly, the relation-relation tests confirm that a significant interaction exists between the respondents' risk networks as well as among risk factors. These findings suggest that in the risk management of GB projects, a holistic perspective would be more effective than assuming that the risk factors are independent.
