MALAYSIAN national oil company Petronas is preparing to enter the construction phase of its Bukit Panjang and Jenggolo gas field development in Indonesia's Java Sea.The two discoveries reside within the Ketapang production sharing contract area offshore East Java, which already hosts Petronas' producing Bukit Tua field.Petronas has an 80 operating share in the Ketapang PSC, with the remaining 20 held by Indonesia's Saka Energi.The Bukit Panjang and Jenggolo project is in the pre-front end engineering and design phase, according to Jakarta-based sources, and Petronas is preparing to very soon invite contractors to bid for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation phase, they added.A consortium comprising Reka-yasa Industri, Zee Engineering and Tri Panji Puring submitted the lowest bid for the pre-FEED work and is understood to be carrying out that workscope, said project sources.
