The Royal Society in the UK issued a report this week questioning the viability of the aviation industry's goal of reaching net zero by 2050. The group of scientists had analyzed the resource availability, costs, infrastructure requirements, life cycle impacts and the RD still to be done for fuels such as biofuel and hydrogen, to see if they could meet existing demand from the UK's aviation sector. They also looked at ammonia and efuels.
