Utopia and saving the world. Individual creativity, which in a collective effort and employing local techniques and materials erects a joint work that all can use, identify with, and in this way live their sense of community - this ideal of building is in danger of dying out. Our feelings tell us that we have lost control of the design of the environment and of the way in which we live together. The Biennale in Venice poses exactly these major questions. Are the critical answers given by architects, positioned between Utopia and the aim to save the world, convincing?
