摘要

A ±45° dual-polarization wideband antennafor 5G base station application is proposed using crossdipoles, bow-tie-like parasitic elements and baluns. Theantenna is modeled, simulated, and optimized for anoptimal size of 115 mm × 115 mm × 27.8 mm.A ?10dB bandwidth is obtained to cover 2.24GHz-3.75GHz, which has a fractional bandwidth of 50.4. Inthe design, bent Γ-shaped microstrip lines are to achievehigher isolation that is better than 25dB. The proposedantenna is fabricated and measured to get a result thatit has a wide bandwidth, good directional radiation patterns,and a high peak gain of 8.1±1.1dBi, making it suitablefor 5G base station applications.
