A new partnership between Air Liquide and Siemens Energy is aiming to lay the groundwork for mass manufacturing of electrolysers in Europe.Scaling up the production and distribution of hydrogen is widely seen as the biggest driver of cost reduction for green hydrogen. But in order to lower the cost and meet the rapidly growing demand, the production of sustainability generated hydrogen through large-scale proton exchange membrane(PEM)electrolysers needs to be accelerated. To this end,Air Liquide and Siemens Energy announced they have signed a deal to combine their expertise in PEM electrolysis technology.Through this,Air Liquide and Siemens Energy will focus on the co-creation of large industrial-scale hydrogen projects in collaboration with customers as well RD activities to co-develop next generation electrolyser technologies.
