Statistics Canada reported that the Canadian economy added 94,000 jobs in July mostly in Ontario and mostly in accommodation and food services. The unemployment rate fell to its lowest since March of this year, at 7.5 for July compared with 7.8 in June. After the July gains, Canada remains about 246,400 jobs, or 1.3, below pre-pandemic levels.
