With a global presence,the Eppendorf Group is increasing its production capabilities in the Chinese market.On 8th February the company entered into an agreement for a fresh production facility in the Shanghai metropolitan area to manufacture Eppendorf centrifuges specifically for the local market.”This is an important and strategic step for our company,”said Dr Wilhelm Pluster,Eppendorf Chief Technology Officer.”It will strengthen the company's global positioning and our worldwide production network.”China is an important and continuously expanding market for Eppendorf.The Group already generates about 15 of its consolidated revenue in China and further growth is expected.”With this investment,we are systematically bolstering our core business in the growth market of China,”Pluster added.Eppendorfs Separation Instrumentation Business Division,which focuses primarily on centrifuges,is expected to gain significant growth momentum with the establishment of the new manufacturing site.
